The web platform Dotvilla.com was created in January 2004 by a young portuguese company for international promotion of holiday properties, published in 5 languages and distributed by 48 countries.
According to the general manager Tiago David, "the website allows to meet the offer and demand from all over the world". It has an average of 10 to 12 thousand visits per week. Born in Oporto, it is currently managed by 5 young people. "We had a villa in Caminha - Minho that we used to rent for holidays. We publish it on internet and start to have success and to have requests for dates already booked".
The next step was to create the web platform allowing private property owners to advertise and manage their on properties online. The adverts have a cost of 50 euros for 4 months, 70 euros for 8 months and 100 euros for 12 months. According to the manager, each advert has a description of the property, photos, personalized description and availability chart. This year Dotvilla.com has decided to invest on properties for the New Year with success.
